Home Use
Morton® Safe-T-Salt® Rock Salt melts ice and snow from driveways, porches, steps and other walkways. Spread Morton® Safe-T-Salt® rock salt while snow is falling. This will prevent snow and ice from becoming hard packed and sticking to walkway surfaces. Sufficient melting should occur within 30 minutes then promptly remove the slush formed. Do not use on brick or flagstone walkways having mortar joints. See notice below.
Car Use
If your car is stuck in snow or on ice, spread Morton® Safe-T-Salt® generously under the wheels to provide traction. Keep an extra bag in the trunk for weight.
